Dictionaries/Lexicons

LBG – this is the digitised version of the Lexikon zur byzantinischen Gräzität, a lexicon of Byzantine Greek.

Perseus Digital Library – an online library which “covers the history, literature and culture of the Greco-Roman world”. Its ‘Word Study’ tool is a lifesaver, combining entries from multiple reputed lexicons.

Useful sites

STEPBible – a comprehensive resource for studying the Bible in a variety of languages, from Biblical Hebrew to Koine Greek to Arabic to English. The site facilitates comparative study and has a note-taking system for personal use. A downloadable application is also available

Trismegistos – a huge database of sources “from the ancient world, particularly late period Egypt and the Nile valley (roughly BC 800 – 800 AD)”.
